Why do customer’s leave?
Perceived indifference is what cost’s most companies their best customers. It’s 6 times easier to sell to an existing customer than it is to obtain a new customer.
Did you know that on average 63% of your customers will leave not because of price but because they perceive that you don’t care if they stay or leave? The main cause is that there is poor or no contact after the original sale.
One solution that I recommend to my clients is using a constant contact system where the customer is contacted on a regular basis. This could be by newsletter, email, or a phone campaign that is scheduled on a regular basis. A Facebook fan page is another way of communicating with your customers on a more informal basis.
Remember, communication is the response we get. If we are not getting our desired response from our customers we must change the way we are communicating them.

Those are some great points! It always amazes me how a business will knock you off your socks your first visit, but then not even act like you exist after that. Retaining customers is much more cost effective than continually paying to acquire new ones. Thanks Steve!
